From car park mishap to clean finish

I needed Bumper Scuff repair after a rushed moment left a fresh mark on my car, but what followed was a surprisingly simple fix that restored the look.

It happened near Heaton Park on a typical afternoon when I slightly clipped a low barrier while parking. The scratch looked worse up close, and I knew it would stand out too much if left.

Later that evening, I started searching online and came across AutoScratch. The site felt straightforward, so I sent over a few photos and a short explanation. I got a reply fairly quickly with a quote that seemed fair, and we arranged a flexible time.

On the day, the technician arrived as agreed and walked me through the process in a relaxed way. First, the damaged area was carefully wiped down to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which prepared the area. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked very close. The blending process followed, where the new paint was evenly worked into the surrounding area so there were no harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it Bumper Scuff repair a smooth finish. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically gone unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt easy to manage, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was well paced, and the workmanship was clearly precise. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for smaller issues rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Manchester Piccadilly Station again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
